Today’s gratitude is about what is my favorite area in our home? Finally, an easy one!

The living room with our skyline view of Halifax, Nova Scotia is my favorite area of our home.

Every day I get to wake up to this beautiful skyline view.

We entertain our guests in the living room which everyone appreciates and part of their enjoyment is what I call our “million dollar view”. We see all sorts of different boats, ships and vessels passing by all day long.

Last week the Bluenose II was escorting one of our military ships, HCMS Fredericton

We have had friends over for Canada Day fireworks and other special occasions before Covid19 as we have the best view in town for fireworks. One New Year’s Eve we were able to watch six different sets of fireworks going on downtown Halifax along the waterfront.

Fireworks from last Natal Day in 2019 enjoyed from our balcony

The living room is where we settle down and snuggle up to watch movies. It is also where we can just sit and be still on a comfy chair or the couch and stare at the ocean in peaceful solitude. It is where we have games nights with friends, or have family over for dinner. The living room is well used and loved, but that view…

Steam rising from the ocean on a cold day
We used the view for our wedding photos!
Even during a hurricane, I love this view!
The cats enjoy the view too!
However the sunsets are captured better in other windows at our place…
The skyline view of Halifax will always be my favorite…

Yes, my living room with our view is my favorite area of my home and I am beyond grateful for the beautiful accommodations we have the pleasure of enjoying every day, rain or shine, a view of the water never gets old.
