“Shame… Shame… Shame…”, bet lots of you can guess where I am going with this and holy canolli were the last two episodes of Game of Thrones epic or what?!? Back to reality, I have good news and not so great news.
Firstly, I am proud to say I paid off my Visa entirely (happy dance!) and my line of credit is GONE. I released some funds which I was planning on doing something else with to abolish these additional expenses, which were hanging over me daily. I was so stressed about paying all of my regular bills in addition to my debt, I felt I needed to do something drastic. I do alright financially as far as what I make, but trying to pay off more than one debt source is over whelming. It never used to bother me before until I met my boyfriend whom I seem to have inherited his anxiety over consumer debt. He has none besides the healthy owning a home with mortgage payments. It is a huge relief for me to pay off the credit card and line of credit. Now, all I have is my loan which seems so much easier to tackle so I can put any extra money I save onto this and hopefully never find myself in this position again.
Now the not so great news… I went shopping and paid with cash thank you! On Canada Day I was sitting on my one Patio Chair which also happened to resemble the Canadian Flag. Well, I was sitting on it and the material ripped in a non-repairable way. You can see my male Siamese, Gershwin sitting upon the chair.
On July 2nd, I went and purchased a pair of chairs and a table for $115.00 taxes in!
It would have been a more romantic photo minus the cat tunnel and the croissant I gobbled down before taking the above snap. Oh well….
Then… Last week I decided to host a party for Younique; it is a higher end make up brand which my colleague from work is representing as a part time gig. I wanted to support her & I have seen the results with my own two eyes. Well, dang it anyway! Not the best idea to host a makeup party if you are a recovering shopaholic.
Anyway… I have been coveting the 3D Fiber Mascara by Younique for a couple of months now.
Picture of Katie’s three eyelash states below:
Well, I want it! I am fair skinned and I have never had much for eyelashes, so I decided I am going to bite bullet and buy the mascara. Well, then she showed the pallete one eyeshadow.
I love these colors as they are neutrals, I know I can work with them and I have seen Katie’s eyes at work, and I need… Hosting a makeup party as a girly girl shopaholic is setting yourself up for failure when it comes to a shopping ban.
I have watched several videos on Younique both through their site and with a variety of vloggers giving reviews and all I have heard is positive stuff regarding their products.
I actually ordered the presenters kit because it is the biggest bang for your buck. I paid by credit card but I factored in the cost before paying my credit card off. I am a shopper not a seller, although I have been given a website to sell Younique products, I really just want my makeup! The 3D Fiber Mascara and Palette One eyeshadow if I were to buy individually cover the cost of the presentation kit and it also includes a whack of samples! Giddy up babies!
And no shipping charges but only for July! That is Katie above. If you want in on this sweet score – Katie doesn’t receive a commission, and you will receive your own Younique business website. You don’t have to sell, but there are a lot of good incentives and rewards which go beyond money. I just know me and I cannot see myself putting in the time and energy. Who knows though…
I will be reviewing all of the stuff I receive in my presenters kit and I will give you my honest opinion. I am not great with makeup, so I will probably watch some tutorial videos before I post anything to be fair too. If any of this does happen to interest you check out Katie’s site.

Now onto other expenses…
Next item to add to the shopping spree… The iPhone & iPad cord chewed through by none other than Suki the naughtiest Siamese kitty alive! This destruction commenced at 5am during a “bio break” in my LOO. Not impressed…
Still love the cross eyed monster! But this is going to cost me at least $20. Which I will pay with cash…
The shopping ban continues, but in the meanwhile…
You have a long way to go if you keep buying makeup and little things. Cut your credit cards up or put them in an ice tray and freeze them.

The iPhone coed struggle is real! Mine recently broke and I’ve been using my car charger. Not fun at all.
